Natures

Natures… Paradises of green, black and yellow.

After laying bare the landscape, the painter sets out to strip the human body of all ties, clothes and ornaments. Men and women are a part of nature and in it they find the plenitude of life.

“Let us contemplate, the painter tells us, nature as is presented before our eyes completely bare. Beauty lies in the purity of nudity.”

The series seems to evoke the famous words said to have been uttered by Goethe on his deathbed: “More light! More light!”. “Light is always the protagonist, says the artist. It forces us to concentrate on the details. It is a part of the language of painting, as much as colour and brushstroke.”

The act of painting is the act of loving. Painting without love is like colour without a soul. Jorge Rando
